RASMI (Arabic for "my drawing/official") is a visual arts workshop where participants are guided through a safe, structured, and fun process to create their own self portraits of identity. We will look at a lot of art, including art from the Arab and Muslim worlds- the streets and museums- for inspiration. What do you want to tell the world about who you are? Come learn how to say it through art.

Who: youth between 14-21 of Arab or Muslim descent
Where:  Arab American Association in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn
When: 3 times a week, each week, between July 8 and Aug 3. Mon, Tues, Wed, 1-4pm
Why: Self expression, Fun, Empowerment. 20 community service credits can be earned for committed students. We'll show off your work in a local gallery show the first weekend of August, open to the public.
